The question I have about this episode is why Sisko ever let Dukat and Weyoun onto the station in the first place. It wasn't like he had any plans to give Dukat what he wanted and it wasn't even like Dukat had much to offer, but I guess Sisko wanted to tell him no to his face. It also opened up the chance for Dukat to murder Ghemor's assassination and sure, his kanar plot failed, but he ran DS9 for years, maybe he knows something about the station Sisko doesn't and he could use that to murder his enemy.
The episode begins with Worf, Dax and Kira waiting to greet Kira's kinda father Tekeny Ghemor, the Cardassian who was her father when she was kidnapped and made to look Cardassian. Kira tries to talk him into helping lead a resistance of Cardassians against the Dominion but he tells her he is dying. He has a terminal illness and all he wants is to talk to her and tell her all his secrets before he dies. Dukat gets word of it somehow and tells Sisko he must extradite Ghemor, but Sisko isn't interested. Kira starts taking care of Ghemor with some help from Bashir and sure enough he starts telling her Dukat's secrets and other valuable information about how the Cardassian government works.
To try and stops this Dukat arrives on a Dominion ship with a clone of Weyoun. He tries telling Ghemor that his daughter is alive and he can be with her if he comes with Dukat, but Ghemor doesn't fall for it. He then tries to poison him with kanar, but Sisko figures it out and stops him. Finally he tries convincing Kira that Ghemor was a monster who killed many Bajoran's and that is a little true, but not true enough. Kira struggles with issues she has with her feelings she abandoned her own father but eventually decides to be with Ghemor as he dies.
Review: I am super tired from a long day so the summary is a little brief, but this is an overall solid episode. Not the most outstanding this series has to offer, but a touching emotional look into Kira's past.
